Fiori d'Ambra - Profumum Durante Roma - Review

Bad News!! I have some really bad news regarding this scent - it is too delicious to resist and you might as well call up or click the link below and just buy it. Why wait for a sample and have the agony of having to wait again to get the fragrance? If you love sweet amber, just do it. It knocked my socks right off. Completely.

The only notes they are giving out offically are: amber gris & opium. But there is some creamy vanilla in there and I'm pretty sure I detect a certain amount of sueded leather. Very delicious!

Available LuckyScent 100ml for $195

Hi Madelyn, this is an amber fragrance, with slight vanilla sweetness. More amber. No not like Frangipani. You better sample first - you can get samples at LuckyScent.com. :O) Those who should buy without sampling are those who know they love sweet ambers. :O)

Hello Victoria,
Sounds really delicious - I´m always on the hunt ;) for a nice amber which isn´t too heavy but not too sweet either - vanilla certianly sounds like a very good thing :) Yet I haven´t found a scent with the right balance...Perhaps Montale Blue Amber comes closest.
Regarding the sweetness: Can you compare it to any other amber fragrances? I´m thinking e.g. about Ambre Extrême from L´Aritsan which I like but it´s a bit too sweet for me - it always reminds me of Etro Heliotrope.
Today I think I´ve to retest my sample of Miller Harris L´Air de Rien, I´m not sure but it seems a becoming a little bit addicted to it...;)

Dearest Victoria-

WHY are you SO bad? Please divulge...

I saw your other post from Feb.[thanks for the reference!], but so many questions are unanswered.

In the final analysis, we all have to sniff for ourselves, I guess...

I adore amber- but then, I adore chypre, green, etc.

Aimer beaucoup de choses
Pour savoir, apres tout,
Ce qu'on aime le mieux...

I'm in love with the super-cheap Attar Bazaar Persion Amber =) can anyone compare that to Fiori d'Ambra?

Oh, I almost ordered the sample pack from LuckyScent this past weekend! Now I know I must at least get a sample of this. Thanks Victoria!

You are a bad bad woman Victoria; I just bought the gorgeous Voluspa Baltic Amber candle this weekend and I really do have a serious weekness for amber scents.

Hi Malena, this is maybe not for you then. Did I save you some money? :O)

Josie, I don't know Attar Bazaar but it is sweet like Kuumba Made. If that helps!

I don't think so Mark, it's pretty soft and sweet. But the Sandalwood one, yes. :O)

Well aren't you a temptress? Sounds divine.

Hi Katie, it is devine - but I must add the lasting power is not so great. But that's a big bottle, plenty for decants to touch up. Right now I'm thinking it's my favorite from the line, but then I'm partial to ambers.
