Ipanema - Satellite - Review

Ahhh I close my eyes and I breathe in - Ipanéma.
The warm breeze of summertime in Rio, toes in hot summer sand, the salty smell of the sea on my skin. My tall drink at hand and all is right with the world.

A delicate blending of the notes renders the composition just perfect. Not to salty, not too ozone, not too fruity or sweet. Like a soft sexy whisper again your skin, it's dreamy and exotic, and downright sexy.

"As a seashell polished by the wave
The turquoise smell of the ocean around a sand bank
Lying in the sun, pleasure of the beach ...
Blue foam of a summer romance "

As if the tantalizing description is not enough, feast your eyes on the vivid turquoise juice and the bottle topped with beach jewelry charms. If this isn't enough to make a winter-bored perfumista buy unsniffed, I don't know what will.

Notes: Ylang, orange, grapefruit, freesia, sandalwood, coco, white flowers, tonka bean, vanilla, sea accord, patchouli

If Fire Island was a little too lotion smelling for you, try this little escape to Rio.

With the sun coming in through the window you make me lusting for Ipanema although I don't even like that type of tropical/beachy scents...

Hi Madelyn, pull up a beach chair and join me girl! Yes, I hear the music, we'll go dancing tonight!

solander, with the soft vanilla drydown that I can still smell from last night, this one may be more weariable than most. :O)

Wow, I had no idea this was even coming out. So, ok Vic - is there even a hint of masculinity in this fragrance or is my bank account safe on this one?

Went to look at this on Luckyscent and there's FOUR new ones!! And the bottles and colors are all so pretty. I'm a complete idiot for bottles. So I ordered samples of all four :) Maybe one of those bottles will have to be mine?

Madelyn is right : I hear the cariocas.

Summer is really marvellous.

Gail, I know! I went to Luckyscent and saw FOUR of them and I thought "My goodness, that's rather brave." Lets hope they're all as good as this one...if Victoria likes it, I know I'll probably like it.

I need to get out my Astrud Gilberto CD, now!

Mark, it's a very suble scent. A man could wear it, but only if you like these kinds of scents.

I loved Padparadscha and I love their bottles, so of course I'll have to stop at the ScentBar tomorrow and see.

(I would today, but I have a wine tasting in Eagle Rock. Booze trumps juice, at least for now)

Hi Iris, any excuse to go to the Scent Bar!! :O)

Tom, I think you'll find these have an over all lighter or more summer feel than the Pad. If you like fig, you might like tomorrow's review. :O)

If you say it's subtle, then it makes it sound more attractive. The color is nice but a bit garish, no? Makes me think of syrup:)
