Scent of the Day - Wednesay - 12/20/06

Ok back to work for me today, but only for two days! And probably not alot of work will get done. I am wearing my new iPdF Mirra, and it seems a bit strong. I might try transfering it into a roll-on. What are you wearing today?

Hi Vic,

I'm in the mood for Ralph Lauren Blue today. I haven't worn it for a long while and it's the one perfume I always get compliments on.

Is the Mirra an incense type fragrance? What are your thoughts on it?

Have a nice day.

There's something about Givenchy that makes me buy a bottle, enjoy it, use it up and move on to the next one. I bought Ysatis, and when empty bought Amarige,
once that was gone it was on to Organza, and then I found the new L'Interdit in a bargain bin for ten dollars. Once that was gone, I bought Amarige Mariage.

Today I am wearing Amarige Mariage and thinking about Givenchy. One bottle is enough in my perfume armoir, and I am not sure why that is. I like the frags I used to have very much, maybe they are just too floral and there are so many new things out there to invest in instead.

Does anyone have an opinion on "Very Irresistible"
or Ange ou Demon" ? These are next in line for me and Hubert.

I put Lonestar Memories on today, but the weather is so moody and grey that I think I'm going to change to something more kicky. I think Lonestar is going to be a spring/summer leather only for me, unfortunately. Xeryus Rouge's red pepper and cedar is sounding just right at the moment... yum!

gr - May I pitch in my two cents. I have a little Givenchy fetish, too :) Very Irresisible is okay if you carry fruity notes easily and well - if not then it's kind of a boring rose scent. Victoria may feel differently, perhaps? I forget what she things of it. Ange ou Demon is pleasant, sort of a creamy Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb thing. Try the Flowerbomb Extreme if you test Ange ou Demon and decide you like it.

Dawn, Mirra is more of a creamy vanillic type, it makes a great base to layer and dries down very creamy and smooth. I'll review it soon.

Not a big Givenchy fan, I do love Ysatis and still have it in parfum and I wore Extravagance for awhile. I do like the Ange ou Demon, but it's so light on me.

Thanks all for stopping by during this busy time!

Vic-- I'm with you, I never have purchased a Givenchy scent twice. I like, yet not enough. For some reason I keep trying.
