Scent of the Day - Wednesday 02-21-07

I'm wearing Czech & Speake 88, the hot fragrance at the Apothia portion of the Sniffapalooza. Thanks Raphaella!

What are you wearing today?

Hi Vic, I'm testing Coromandel today. It's beautiful, starts with lots of sweet powdery benzoin, the merest hint of a highly stylized patchouli, a tease of incense, then dries down like a lighter, more tender version of Musc Ravageur. I don't get any amber at all, to me the frag is all sweet (but not cakey sweet) vanilla. No sillage, one must lean in close to catch a whiff. The only drawback is the lasting power - don't think it will be all that good.
Enjoy your day!
Terry

Good Morning Beautiful!

Its a "from the collection" day instead of a sample day for me. So I chose Marc Jacobs for Men. I've been distant from this for a while, even though just about a year ago, I didnt want to go a day without it. I'm hoping that maybe I can re-spark a torrid love affair with this one as I am longing for spring, now.

No. 88 is one I've been longing to smell. Let me know how it turns out!!

Lots of Love,
-M

Hello Victoria-
I am actually wearing my sample of Creed's Virgin Island Water. I LOVE IT! It smells very much of limes and coconuts and seawater. It reminds me of Hawaii and today I am longing to go back to Hawaii.

Have a beautiful day!

Today is an amber day for me! I'm wearing my new Ambre del Nepal and loving it. Perhaps I'm subliminally doing the amber thing in anticipation of wearing my new spray version of Anne Pliska! Have a great day!

How funny! In the prize basket was a full bottle of No. 88. Out of all the men's fragrances in that basket, I thought 88 was the best. I'll have to spritz it on me to see how it fares on a woman. How are you liking it so far?

Have a nice day.

Good morning, Victoria. It will be FM Le Parfum de Therese for me today. I adore this, and it will always be in my Top Five.

Ach, I love 88. It's so rich for cologne, you'd almost think it was an edp or something.

I'm wearing my "J" mod again today :) It smells so nice today in this temperate sunny weather.

Hi Terry, That was the one I thought I would like the best and ended up not really liking very much of the group anyway. I hope you have a back up!

Hi Mark, ohhh I think I'm loving this 88. It is so differenct for me. It seems a bit like Le Maroc because of the slight medicinal edge and the rose otto. Also present are incense and frangipani. At times it has a real men's cologne feel to it, at others it seems so floral. Very nice. I htink you would like.

Parisjasmal, I'm having trouble leaving comments too. It's definitely more work in that area. I'm just now hearing of this new Creed, I guess I have been under a rock. I'm not so big on coconut though. BUt an escape to Hawaii sounds lovely!

HI Katie, I agree it lasts a long time. Longer than any of the new Chanels, LOL. This might just end up being my second men's cologne purchase. :O)

Oooh, I missed Czech & Speake 88! Although I'm heading to a specialty fragrance boutique this weekend with a few people from the Sniffa. Maybe I'll get to try it! Today I'm wearing Annick Goutal Songes.
