Dear Victora,
Bonne Annee ! Ilove your Parisien updates ! I bought a new scent @ Barney's just prior to their door closing for Reveillon ! I's Frangipane . It is a soft, feminine bur sexy amberfloriental . I think. I love it. I am also a fan of the lush Tiare - But , believe it or not,-I noticed Velvet Rope - It is exquisite -- It's just a matter of time before I succumb to that. My friends (usually nonperfume fanatics ) ask How can you buy yet ANOTHER perfume when you have soo many .. V - I know that you and your readers understand ..My Perfume of the last 2 days has been , what else. Frangipane ! love to you - Madelyn E

Bonjour mon ami Madelyn! Merci!
Oh I do understand you my dear. I also love frangipani, I have Ormonde Jayne's. I have not heard of yours, but it sounds lovely. I so love amber. You must use it sparingly.

Therefore you need Velvet Rope to fill in the gaps!!!

Happy New Year to you!

Hi Dawn! Yes bummer about Extrait de Songe. I have a small travel size, I don't know why on earth I didn't buy the bottle.

I see the rain at least has not ruined the parade.

I'm adorned in Black Cashmere--I know, I know...it's not for everyone. BUT, for me it's sensational and I love it.

This morning I sprayed some into my palms and ran my fingers through through my hair, it seems the natural oils grip the scent.

When I awaken one of the many first thoughts is which fragrance
for at least the daylight hours.

I can't help it!

No excuses needed here!
Sounds like a wonderful idea.
I love spraying Serge Lutens Fleurs D'Oranger on my brush.

Ma Chere Victoria,

Bonjour ! Guess What !I needed little encouragement -- In honor of amber based scents. after having purchased Chantecaille's Frangipane. I ran to Barney's (in Manhasset, MY) and treated myself and All those around me to Velvet Rope ! It is very warm, rich and sexy-- more audacious rhan its amber sisters like Sublime. Bois Des Iles (my favorite) and my new treat Frangipane. I loved on first whiff. I await your eloquent review. If you are sill visiting Paris - why don't you "have a cafe or tea" on me at Dallayau on Rue Faubourg Saint - Honore?
My best to you -
Madelyn

My Dear Madelyn,
I am so glad you are enjoying the Velvet Rope. It is so warm and sexy and different. I hope to spread the word of it more here in the USA. I love Bois Des Iles too, of course!

Unfortumately, I am not in Paris, I am just reliving my memories and the many pictures we took while there on our anniversary.

I have only once before felt such a bond with a city, and that is when I moved to California. There is something between Paris and me.
Maybe I will find my destiny calls me there.

Until then I will relive my memories through the photos my husband and I took.
